
France national football team The French men's national football team is known as the Équipe de France de football. It is run by the French Football Federation (FFF; Fédération française de football), the governing body for football in France. It is a member of UEFA in Europe and FIFA in international competitions. The team's colors and image are based on two national symbols: the French blue-white-red tricolor and the Gallic rooster. This team is also known as Les Bleus (The Blues). They play their home games at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis and train at the National Football Center in Clairefontaine-en-Yverine.

Founded in 1904, the team has won two FIFA World Cups, two UEFA European Championships, two FIFA Confederations Cups, one Olympic Games, one CONMEBOL-UEFA Champions Cup and one UEFA Nations League Championship. France was one of four European countries to participate in the first World Cup in 1930. 28 years later, the team led by Raymond Kopa and Just Fontaine finished third in the 1958 World Cup. In 1984, under three-time Ballon d'Or winner Michel Platini, France won Euro 1984 (their first official title), the CONMEBOL-UEFA Cup (1985) and two World Cup semi-finals (1982 and 1986). . Les Blues won the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 under the captaincy of Didier Deschamps, who also included Zinedine Zidane. They won the Confederations Cup in 2001 and 2003. Three years later, France reached the 2006 World Cup final, but lost 5–3 to Italy in a penalty shootout. Ten years later, the team reached the final of Euro 2016, losing 1-0 to Portugal in extra time. France won its second World Cup title two years later in 2018. After winning the 2021 Nations League, France became the first and only European team to win every FIFA and UEFA competition.[3][4] France is also one of only two countries, other than Brazil, to have won the all-age men's FIFA 11 player event.[5][6][7][8][9] They won the FIFA World Cup, FIFA U-20 World Cup, FIFA U-17 World Cup, the now-defunct FIFA Confederations Cup and Olympic titles, making them the first to complete a collection since the U-20s.
